Hey all- I wanted to share a few great make and take gifts with you this week starting with these Cookies for Santa. Can you believe that Christmas is just a month away? As your heading out to holiday parties and get together, it is always great to have a little hostess gifts with you. These Cookies for Santa also work great for party favors and neighbor/teacher/coworker gifts. The idea of cookies in a jar is in no way my own. Probably the best known version of cookies in a jar comes from Bakerella.
My kids and I were actually doing some research for another party and they saw these little treats. We thought it would be great to do a version for Christmas. Best of all, since my kids are a little older, it is so easy for them to help put these together. We are making batches for our neighbors and school friends. I did come up with the little tag and instruction card and top gift tags which you can download for free by clicking HERE.
How I made them:
Layer the following ingredients in the order written. I used parchment paper to make a funnel to make filling the jars cleaner and easier. Make sure to tag the jar on the counter between each layer to compact the ingredients.
- 1 1 /3 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 3/4 cup M & M’s
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
Screw on cap and attach label and instructions card. Give away.
Another great gift tomorrow.
XO,
Jenny

I’m unable to download the tags. When I click on the link in directed to Facebook but it says page is not found. We’re making these as the family gift in our preschool class and I’d love to have that adorable tag on them.
