American Sparklers

I just love our patriotic holidays.  I am so proud to put on my red, white and blue and honor the men and women who have defended our great nation.  So, I was very excited yesterday to discover that Memorial day is only 2 weeks away.  Memorial Day is a HUGE holiday in my town.  It is America at its finest.  The city hosts a parade and people joke that half the town is in it and the other half watches.  People decorate their yards, have BBQs and definitely love the picnic and fireworks in the park.  I am planning on passing these out this year- gold sparklers.

Did you know that sparklers can be spray painted? I found this out quite by accident.  I ordered gold wire sparklers for a party assuming that they were gold.  Image my surprise when I opened the box and found out they were dull charcoal grey.  The sweet lady at the company I ordered them answered my question before I answered it.  So, a can of spray paint and pretty gold sparklers to celebrate.  In case they don’t sell sparklers near you,  they are available online in several different sizes.  These are 24 inch sparklers.
