When I was editing my photos from my parties this past month, I realized I may not have shared my Pink and Orange Monogram 40th Birthday Party from last September with you yet. My confusion comes from switching sites. I wrote a draft about it on my blogspot account but this site shows it was published. I can’t seem to find it on my blog. The color scheme is perfect for summer birthdays and graduation parties. So, if I have shared this party, it is a nice reminder.
For my sweet friend and almost new neighbor’s 40th birthday, I wanted to create a party that really reflected her life and personality. Jennifer loves monograms and all things feminine, but since working in the fashion district, she has also developed a love for bright bold colors and geometric prints. This party is a mix of both. I found a wooden monogram and used the same design on the all of the paper goods. The bright color scheme of fuchsia and apricot keeps the party fresh and modern.
Behind the dessert table, I mounted the wooden monogram on the front of an old wooden window The three-tier ombre dot cake was the focal point of the dessert table, which included all things pink and orange- raspberry mousse, cake pops, cheesecake mousse with orange gelee (from Amy Atlas), personalized mini chocolate bars, macarons, mini donuts and homemade marshmallows.
The drink station featured mimosa pops, Jell-O shot and kir royales with rock candy stirrers. Personalized wine and water bottles filled the shelves. Guest took home mini champagne bottle that I had glittered.
