Cranberry Christmas Cocktail
Hey all! Today we have a quick and easy Cranberry Christmas Cocktail. I am thinking all of us can use easy and a cocktail right about now. Am I right? I am so glad all of my Christmas to-dos are almost done and that is finally time to celebrate and toast this magical season. I kept these cocktails light and fresh to balance all of the heavy and rich appetizers around this time of year. The measurements are approximate- adjust each ingredient to your liking. Oh- and if you happen to be remodeling or building a house- I would highly suggest putting in an ice machine. Ours makes these amazing little ice pellets. It is everyone’s favorite features in our house and worth every penny.
Ingredients-
- Vodka
- Cranberry Juice
- Triple Sec
- Sprite or Soda Water
- optional- sugar for the rim
Fill a shallow bowl with a 1/4 inch of water. Dip the rim of your glass in the water and then in the sugar. This can be done when mixing the drinks or ahead of time. Let them dry upside down on a paper towel and they sit for days.
To make the drink fill you glass with ice. Fill it a third with cranberry juice add a hot of vodka (maybe two) and the smallest splash of Triple Sec. Fill the rest of the glass with Sprite.
To make the garnish: strip most of the leaves off a sprig of rosemary leaving the ones on the very end. Use the stem of the sprig and thread on three cranberries. These remind me of mini Christmas trees.
ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!!
XO,
Jenny
