Hi Everyone! If you follow my blog and Instagram, you know that I have been building a new home for the past year. I feel so amazingly blessed to have been able to do this. I know that not many people will such an opportunity. We moved out of the house we that had been on the property on May 19th, 2013 and moved back into our new home exactly a year later to the day. I am actually pretty proud of this fact because in California it takes a long while to build a home for some reason. There are MANY MANY things still not finished but we will slowly get there. I have been making SO many decisions on a daily basis (most day I was on the site for about 4 hours) that I just need a break and since we will be here for a while, there is no rush. My approach to decorating is to fill your house with thing that matter to you and things you love. No huge trips to big box stores for me. I am a patient gal and would rather wait for something that moves me. So here is a glimpse of the past year of my life…
My kitchen- no back splash yet
Living room- still need to finish the fireplace
Looking down into my entry
Butler’s Pantry- I still have to explain to my kids that it doesn’t mean we have a butler.
Powder room- love the whimsical bird wall paper
The master bath is still waiting for the tub
My sweet Charlotte’s room
And our new party area:)!
Can you guess my favorite color?!?
Thanks to everyone for all your sweet inquires this year about my experience! I will share again once we are done.
XO,
Jenny

Jenny, your home is like a work of art! Absolutely stunning. I bet you are so happy to have the past year behind you and finally get to have your dream home! And I am just like you. I would much rather wait for a piece to come along that I really love than to settle. Which is why there is a big blank wall in my dining room area! I keep waiting to find something I love. Congratulations and thanks for sharing these lovely pictures!

I hate to keep bugging you, but I was wondering what material you used for your sofas. Is it the brushed canvas in white? Thanks.
