Preppy Strawberry Party

Happy Friday!  Aren’t you so happy that spring is here?  My favorite thing about spring has to be strawberries.  I have been eating them up all week. (dip in brown sugar- sooo yummy).  I can’t wait to buy another flat at the farmers’ market this Saturday. I thought it would be fitting to share the Preppy Strawberry Party I did last year for the sweetest little neighbor- it is one of my favorite printable collections and perfect for a spring birthday. Last month I helped a dear friend of mine throw a Strawberry Party for her berry sweet;) daughter. The Mom requested “simple and easy.”  I wanted it to be bright, fun and crisp. We decided to work with a preppy plaid print and color palette of lime green and pinks rather than traditional red. You know I always love using a slightly unexpected color scheme.

Lunch was served in personalized gable boxes and the girls served themselves strawberry milk, strawberry soda or strawberry lemonade.

The backdrop for the dessert table was a personalized framed poster that matched the rest of the printables. The girls ate all things strawberry: cake, cupcakes, shakes, ice cream and cookies. I made yards and yards of circle garland in two shades of pink to hang above the drink and dessert tables. The cake also had similar garland on it.

After lunch, the girls made strawberry eggs, strawberry pies in mason jars and went on a strawberry scavenger hunt.
