Hi Everyone- I am so excited to share the birthday party I did for my daughter last November. When Audrey was planning her 12th birthday, she was very clear about what she wanted to do- go to her favorite place with her favorite people and do her favorite things. This made choosing a party theme extremely simple- Audrey’s favorite things. She made a list of everything she loves and I pulled everything together by using her favorite color, pink. She suggested using making the envelope look like a brown paper package in reference to her favorite movie- The Sound of Music.
A wooden sign directed the girls to Audrey’s favorite place, the beach, where they ate a prepacked lunch from personalized gable boxes.
After lunch, the girls treated themselves to the dessert table. For the front of the table, I made a garland out of 3d bows, another of her favorite things, cut on my silhouette machine. If you take a peek at my Instagram you’ll remember that I shared these bows back in October. I’ve seen them around a lot of party tables lately. So glad we were ahead of this trend.
All the desserts represented one of Audrey’s favorite things- a “ruffled” cake topped with a ballerina for Audrey’s love of dance, elephant topped cupcakes, chocolate covered oreos topped with whales and beach buckets, ice cream shakes, rose cake pops, Minnie Mouse macarons, sea shell cookies and mini boxes of her favorite nutter butter cookies.
The girls spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out on the grass at the house, sipping Audrey’s favorite pink lemonade, eating her favorite Sixlets from mini shot glasses, playing volleyball and taking lots of selfies for Instagram- another on of Audrey’s favorite things.
After cutting the cake and a night on the town, the girls went home the next morning with (what else) but a brown paper package tied with string:)
The invitation and other party printables including labels, banners, straw flags and more had a simple ric rac design and monogram all in pink. The complete party kit and invitation are available in my shop
The party was perfect for girls of this age, not overly themed but personalized and fun! And a happiest year to my sweet girl! I love you with all my heart!
