Bluegrass and Bourbon by Bloom

Hi Everyone! I am so excited to share this Bluegrass and Bourbon 40th Birthday Party that I recently worked on. When my sweet friend and now new neighbor asked me to help with her husband’s 40th birthday party, I was so honored and excited. Her husband grew up in the south and she wanted to honor his southern roots while keeping the party elegant, pretty and proper. Since I styled her Pink and Orange Monogram Party, I wanted to use a monogram at this party as well. We decided on a light burlap and navy color scheme and incorporated a wood grain background on all the printables. The invitation and complete party kit are available in my shop!

The dessert table featured lots southern favorites and other dessert all fitting our color scheme. We served, spice cake with a wooden topper by Ten 23 Designs. Snicker doodle, oatmeal and peanut butter cookies, caramel cheesecake shots, elvis pie, banana whoopie pies, bourbon bread pudding and cupcake with amazing banjo and bourbon bottle fondant toppers by Edible Details. I made the backdrop for the table out of 6 foot board- so simple!

The highlight of the party was the bourbon and cigar bar where guest sampled three kinds of bourbon.

Guest also sipped on two signature drink, Kentucky Mule and The Southern Socialite.

The tables were set with burlap runners, wooden lanterns and white hydrangea centerpieces. Silver frames held fun signs throughout the party and twinkle lights created the perfect ambience for this 40th birthday celebration.
