Popsicle Party

Happy Friday.  Have I got a great party idea for you!  I just loved the Popsicle Party that my kiddos and I hosted for our friends.  It was so fun and easy.  The color scheme was based on the flavors of a traditional box of popsicles- cherry, grape and orange.  I have never really worked with such a bright color scheme so it was nice to try something new.

The kids had a great idea of turning our lemonade stand into a Popsicle stand.  We repainted it and used it for our dessert table.  The theme of the party and the time of year called for simplicity.  I spray painted some bucket found in the dollar bin at Target to match our popsicle flavors and cut out the cherry, orange and grape labels on my Silhouette Machine.  We filled the dessert table with all kinds of varieties of Popsicles.  We kept them on ice in the metal buckets and in a simple white igloo. I  made a batch of creamsicle cupcakes (recipe coming soon) and made some creamsicles sodas.

Playing off the Popsicle flavors, we also served some cherries, grapes and oranges in baking cups.  It was the easiest dessert table I’ve styled which is why popsicles are such a great party theme- all you have to do is pick up a box of yumminess at the store and your work is pretty much done.
