White Chocolate-tinis

Looking for a easy and beautiful New Year’s Eve dessert?  Here it is.  This recipe for white chocolate mousse can be made in the morning and will hold nicely until midnight.  Add edible glitter and a bow to your serving cups to match the colors of your party.  These small details will elevate your dessert from fine to fabulous. For a New Year’s Eve celebration, I thought the mini martini glasses were perfect serving dishes.  They can be found at World Market or Pier One for a few dollars each.

On side note, I love white desserts of any kind because they look appetizing and pretty.  I recently did a party in blue and finding blue desserts that looked appetizing was nearly impossible.   Be on the lookout for great white desserts recipes.  You can easily add a garnish, food coloring or printables to customize them to your party’s theme.

You need:

edible glitter (found at Michael’s or any baking supply /cake store)
12 ounces white chocolate chips
2 cups heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons powdered sugar

In a microwave proof bowl, heat whipping cream until steaming, about 2 minutes. Add in chocolate chips.  Let sit for a minute and then whisk until smooth.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until completely chilled.

Pour mix into the bowl of a standing mixer fitted with the whisk attachment.  When soft peaks form, add powdered sugar.  Continue whisking until medium to stiff peaks form.

Put mousse into piping bags and pipe into martini glasses.  Add edible glitter and chill until ready to serve.

XO,
Jenny
