Make It Monday- Chicken Wire Display Frame

Getting my kids ready to start school tomorrow has made me really excited for all the holidays between now and the end of the year.  The vacation is over and it’s time start crafting again!  I love this little vintage frame and have a lot of different things planned for it’s use this fall.  It’s usefulness goes way beyond a candy display board!  The possibilities are endless.

Supplies-
any frame and size- I reused one that I had
spray paint in your color of choice
poultry netting (chicken wire from Home Depot)
wire cutters
hot glue gun
ribbon (optional)

Spray paint your frame.

Cut the chicken so that it fits securely in the back of your frame.  You will then need to flatten the wire. It bends very easily.  I placed in under books for a few hours and then worked it with my hands.

One the back side of the frame, glue down one side of the wire with your hot glue gun.  Wait for the glue to harden.  Once it’s secure, you will be able to pull the rest the wire taunt and then secure to the other sides of the frame.  Attach ribbon to each side of the frame if desired.

Make this now so you’re prepared:)  Off to a great week of school for my little ones!
XO,
Jenny
