I was just blown away by this party submission. Virginie of That Cute Little Cake created this natural dessert table for her husband’s birthday. It is simply stunning- masculine and elegant all at the same time. I ABSOLUTELY love the wood log pile backdrop. Just gorgeous use of natural elements- perfect for any dad.

The design started with the unique wood log pile backdrop (tutorial here) I created especially for my husbands birthday. I knew this was going to be the focal point so I kept the theme natural and I tried to create an elegant display. I picked a natural palette of white, beige and brown and added some green accents in order to introduce some of my husband’s favourite Pistachio treats.
The sweet treats included a chocolate mud cake covered in chocolate ganache, brownies, pistachio financier, meringues, tiramisu, custards in 4 different flavours and caramel pots, all home baked. (recipes found here)
