Are you ready for some easy Halloween fun that’s actually healthy for your children? This Monster Milk Bar is a great way to celebrate Halloween while still getting some healthy vitamins and minerals into your child. Even though I love celebrating Halloween with tons of fun desserts and candy, it’s also very important for me to teach my kids to make good food choices and to fuel their bodies in a healthy way. This is one of the reasons why I always include milk on my dessert tables! With 8 grams of protein in each 8 ounce glass and 9 essential nutrients – milk is the easiest way to fuel kids for both trick or treating and for their future.
This Monster Milk Bar was super easy to set up. Start with lots of delicious milk. I decided to offer both hot cocoa and ice-cold milk since the weather on Halloween in California can sometimes be warm. Create some cute monster cups by adding google eyes to colorful paper cups. Offer a bunch of toppings for the kids to mix in their hot cocoa. I used mini chocolate curls, dehydrated marshmallows and found some great candy bones. Make stir sticks out of ghost Peeps and straws. Finish your Monster Milk Bar with whipped cream and some chocolate sauce.
My kids love milk but to make them want to drink it even more, I dressed up these little individual milk containers to look like crazy monsters. Think about popping one of these into your child’s lunch box. This will encourage them to drink milk throughout the year.
As a mom, this is one Halloween dessert table I am happy to do for my kids. Along with developing strong bones and building muscles, milk can help with healthy hair, strong nails, and prevents cavities. Indulging in this Monster Milk Bar will help them to grow strong for their future while still enjoying the sweet treats of Halloween.
Encourage all your little monsters to drink milk and fuel a brighter future- we are what we drink after all.
