Hey everyone!  Ready for the weekend.  These Cinnamon Apple Donut Muffins will surely make it a good one.  I am so excited to be working with fall flavors.  What is better than warm cinnamon apples for September.  These little breakfast treats fall somewhere between a donut and a muffin hence a donut muffin or duffin as we call them in The Raulli House.   These Donut Muffins are made from boxed pancake batter in just a few simple steps and cook in a mini muffin pan so clean up is easy.  These are beyond fantastic warm.  If you have any left overs from breakfast, simply pop them into the microwave for about 10 seconds and treat yourself to a yummy dessert.

To Make You Need:

• 2 c. boxed pancake mix (Bisquick or other)
• 1 c. sugar
• 3 t. cinnamon
• 1/2 c. chunky applesauce
• 1/4 c. milk
• 1 egg
• 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
• 1 stick melted butter
• Mini Muffin Pan Greased
• 

1. Combine dry boxed pancake mix, 1/4c. sugar and 1 t. cinnamon.
2. Add applesauce, milk, egg and oil. Stir until well combined.
3. Scoop into prepared muffin tin, filling 1/2 – 2/3 full. an ice cream scoop works great for this task
4. Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden on top
5. In a bowl mix 3/4 c. sugar with 2 t. cinnamon.
6. Dip hot puffs in bowl of melted butter and then in bowl of cinnamon sugar. how much you dip is up to you.  My kids like to dunk the whole thing.

Hi Everyone.  Are you hungry?  I sure hope so.  These berry stuffed donuts have become my newest obsession.  They are as fabulous as they look.  I was planning out a menu for the Fourth of July and wanted to make a strawberry shortcake type dessert but with red and blue berries but the thought of making homemade shortcakes seemed like to much work and I actually don’t really like them that much.  I do however LOVE donuts so this yummy dessert was created.  It is so simple to make and can be fully prepped ahead of time then assembled when you are ready.  Believe it or not my 9 years old Charlotte ate the entire thing.

PREP AHEAD OF TIME:

• Homemade whipped cream- my recipe found here
• Fresh berries in any combination washed and stems removed.  Sprinkle on 1/2 cup of sugar per 4 cups of berries.   Mix together gently and set aside.
• Glazed donuts cut in half horizontally

WHEN YOU ARE READY FOR DESSERT

Let your guest scoop berries onto the bottom half of the donut, top with the other half of the donut and add whipped cream.  All set to enjoy.

Donut Graduation Party by Bloom Designs

Hey Everyone!  I have had a crazy month- 3 parties in four weeks.  Yes I am completely exhausted but the celebrations were so much fun and worth the effort.  This Donut You Forget About Me Graduation Party was just this past weekend.  I hosted it with a dear friend for our daughters’ who are graduation from eight grade.    The mood of the party was supposed to be relaxed, pretty and fun- just like our girls.  We tried to achieve that with beautiful decorations in shades of pink and pretty calligraphy while inserting silly signs at all our food tables.  This theme would also work great for a moving away party or any end of year gather.

We hired a taco cart for the main meal and offered all the fixing at the “Taco Bout A Party” Table.  Guest also built their own nachos at the “Nacho Average Graduate” Table which was filled with homemade quest and lots of different toppings.

Everyone’s favorite table was of course the “Donut You Forget About Me” where we served several different varieties of donuts.  I have love that song from Breakfast Club since I was in school.  My daughter actually thought I was completely nuts when I suggested this theme last year but I think it turned out super cute.  We tried to order as many varieties as possible with pink topping. We also colored our own sprinkles which we gave to the donut store to make sure the colors matched the party better.

My favorite detail from the party was the frames that decorated the fireplace.  We filled them with a photo of the girls over the years making sure that each graduate attending was in at least one.  It was really heartwarming to see how even though the girls are only 14, they have had a long history with so many of their friends.

We were so blessed to celebrate with family, longtime friends some of whom have watched the girls grow up the past 10+ years and new friend who already feel like old. We are so happy for this group of sweet kids!  Can’t wait to see what they do in high school.

Donut You Forget About Me

Hi Everyone!  Today we are sharing these Donut You Forget About Me gifts for summertime.  Can you name the movie they were inspired by?  One of my all-time favorites.  This movie reminds me of high school and next week my oldest baby will be graduating from 8th grade and will be a freshman next year.  It is almost impossible to believe. I’m so proud of her.

You can use these little treats for end of school gifts, moving away or just because.  I wrapped my tags with donuts but by all means you can also use them on other gifts.  To download the free cards, click here.  We recommend printing on bright white 8.5 x 11 inch card stock.  Cut cards to size and attach to your gift.  Of course if you choose to use donuts, any flavor, shape, full sized or mini, store bought or homemade works.  Pick what works best for you.

Happy Leap Day!  (Sort of exciting) I am so excited to share these super EASY St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Donuts with you.  Lately I have been on the hunt for ways to simplify- less work, more fun.  These rainbow donuts are festive, fun and on trend, actually. You can find speciality donut shops with crazy toppings popping up everywhere.  The donuts can be a tad expensive though ($3 each in L.A.). Luckily, you make make a your own at home for a fraction of the cost.

Since it is Rainbow season:), I used Fruity Pebbles for these St. Patrick’s Day donuts but by all means, switch it up!  Try crushed Oreos, Lucky Charms, bacon, you name it! The technique is the same.

Depending on how much effort you want to put into these, you can make you own homemade donuts or store bought plain cake donuts. I use store bought.  My kids don’t care. They appreciate the fun.

Ingredients

• plain cake donuts
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 2-4 Tablespoons milk
• 1 cup topping of your choice (these are Fruity Pebbles)

Instructions

1. With a whisk, mix powdered sugar with 2 TBSP milk. Add more milk as needed until frosting is thick toothpaste consistency.
2. DIp in the top half of your donut.
3. Then, dip donut in topping.

Hi Everyone!  Miss me?  My site was down for a few day for some technical reason that I don’t understand but luckily someone else does:)  It was honestly a tad weird being wiped away from the internet but I can’t remember the last time I laid in bed two nights in a row watching TV.   That was a nice break. So… I wanted to celebrate being back up and running by sharing amazing treat- these chocolate strawberry stuffed donuts.  Think of them as a chocolate covered strawberry but a thousand times better.  They are a variation the berry stuffed donuts we shared a few weeks back.  These are my newest obsessions and yours too I’m sure once you try them. I mean chocolate, strawberries and donuts what could be better?

PREP AHEAD OF TIME:

• Homemade whipped cream- my recipe found here
• Fresh strawberries washed and stems removed.  Sprinkle on 1/2 cup of sugar per 4 cups of berries.   Mix together gently and set aside.
• Chocolate raised donuts cut in half horizontally
• Chocolate sauce for drizzling (optional but fancy)

WHEN YOU ARE READY FOR DESSERT

Scoop strawberries onto the bottom half of the donut, top with the other half of the donut, add whipped cream and drizzle with chocolate.  All set to enjoy.

Hi everyone! You may notice this Sprinkled with Love Donuts idea from last year.  Really liked these little valentines but hated the way the photos came out.  The photos just killed them.  We were living in our rental and the lighting was horrible so the post did not come out as I envisioned.  I had to give this sweet idea another chance.  Everyone loves donut so they are perfect for this holiday.  I  made a new tag and rephotographed.  I’m hoping that I did this Valentine a little more justice and that this idea finds it ways into your heart just like it did mine.

Buy or make your donuts.  I bought plain cake donuts from the market and frosted them myself using 1 cup powdered sugar mixed with enough milk to make a thick sauce. Dip in the donut and sprinkle with any heart themed sprinkles.

Package the donuts in a bag for individual treats or stack a bunch on a cake stand and serve at a Valentines breakfast with a flag made from our tags.

To download the red tag or the pink tag with the heart, pop over to my Facebook page and search for sprinkled with love.  I recommend printing on bright white cardstock for best results.

I think donuts are the perfect treat.  I love them.   I go to the donut store and have a  glazed old fashioned for breakfast a few times a week. Totally true. I used to go everyday but when the lady started getting my order ready as she saw my car pull up, I decided it was time to cut back. Anyways… when I found a recipe for glazed donut muffins, I knew immediately that I wanted to try them.  We baked them for our Back To School Breakfast and they are just as good as they look.

I’m sure you little trick or treater won’t be scared of these spider!  Adorable and easy to make, they are sure to be one of your favorite Halloween treats.
you need
mini chocolate donuts
pretzels
chocolate chips
sugar eyes
 chocolate frosting

  Melt the chocolate chips and cover the pretzel sticks.  Let set and then stick in donut.

Put frosting in a piping bag. Cut small hole in tip to make hair on spider.  Add eyes.
