Fourth of July Freedom

Hi Everyone!  I wanted to  share some amazing F0urth of July inspiration with you as you are getting ready for the weekend events.  Shannon and Katherine of Painting Paris Pink styled this gorgeous Fourth of July Freedom party.  I am in love with how she combined the vintage pieces with bright crisp graphics.

The Fourth of July is one of my family’s most favorite holidays. Not only is it a special day for us because it’s our daughter Grace’s birthday, but because I’ve been a proud military wife for the past fifteen years. It’s also a day we reflect on our nation’s freedom and the men and women who have given us this precious gift thru their dedication and hard work and it’s dedicated to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice insuring ours.

For me, nothing says Americana better than mixing red, white, and blue with a bit of rustic. It’s as American as apple pie, white picket fences and picnics in the park.

I found a great spot under the shade of an old oak tree to setup my dessert table. Patriotic Mason Jars by Meghann from Always The Occasion filled with white hydrangea really defined this summertime feel, along with “Old Glory,” a weathered wooden pallet and wicker.

For dessert, I decorated Vanilla Bean cupcakes with patriotic custom wrappers and flags.

Strawberries and blueberries displayed in printable paper cups provided a refreshing treat, and matched perfectly.

I made goblets of red, white and blue jello and paired it with mini wooden spoons and patriotic ribbon.

Beautifully decorated cookies by the talented Katherine of Creating Awesomenessity helped complete the look for our table.

I setup a beverage station with decorated water bottles and burlap and twine wrapped root beer bottles. When I found the copper pails I knew they would be perfect for my beverage station and the red, white and blue paper straws provided the perfect accent.

One of my favorite props was this rustic, wooden sign which I decorated with a pinwheel banner made by Shauna of Cupcake With Character spelling, “FREEDOM,” metal stars and the hand-painted inscription “land of the free because of the brave – since 1776.” Another salute to our brave men and women, past and present.
