Our kids favorite lunch box items are fruit skewers and homemade muffins. I bake a couple batches of muffins on the weekend and put them in the freezer so that they keep (chocolate zucchini, banana nut, pumpkin...) I also cook five pounds of potatoes in the crock pot each Sunday and use them in lunches throughout the week. They can take a fully loaded baked potato one day, have a small twice baked as a side dish another day or even a "smashed potato" with their main course. Having a batch of pre-baked spuds makes it easier to whip something up quickly. I have a high schooler and a middle schooler that play sports so I need hefty lunch foods for them. I also have a first grader that is more enticed by creative presentation. Keeps me on my toes! Thank you for the printables!
