Holly Jolly Party

Hi Everyone!  Now that Thanksgiving is all planned and ready to roll:), you may want to give a little thought to Christmas, especially since it’s only just over a month away.  Even though the season is so busy, I think it is alway such a treat to spend a little time celebrating with friends.  I always try to have our school friends over the night school gets out to celebrate the start of winter vacation.  What better event to celebrate.  Last year our theme was Holly Jolly.  I set up three treat stations and ordered pizza.  Your house most likely will already be decorated so easy peasy pretty much.

Dessert Bar:

Filled with some of my favorite things- homemade honey cake, yule log canals, spice cupcakes, snow-nuts with homemade colored sprinkles, macarons and sugars cookies.  Can’t really have a Christmas celebration without those.  The trees on the top of the cake are made with regular and mini ice cream cone- tutorial coming next week. A Holly Jolly Sign served as the backdrop.

The Merry Milk station had all the fixing for hot chocolate.  I always used some mini milk jugs filled with iced cold milk to go with cookies and don’t forget the melted snow.

The Christmas Cookie Station had everything the kids needed to make cookie.   I loved that the older boys were the first to dive into this activity.
