How can you not love Hello Kitty? She was always one of my favorite characters’ maybe because of the pink bow. Needless to say, I am so excited to share this Hello Hailey Party styled by the amazing Karrie and Elizabeth at Posh Paperie. You may remember Posh Paperie’s Batman Birthday Party from a few weeks back. They styled this party for Elizabeth”s daughter Hailey. I love all the darling little details like the mini bows on the milk bottles, the adorable piñata and all the creative party games.
Posh Paperie writes:
For Elizabeth’s daughter’s 6th birthday…Hailey really wanted a Hello Kitty party. She is obsessed with all things Hello Kitty, so we just had to do it. Even though we usually like to do a more “unique” theme – Hailey had been dreaming of this party for the last few years!
We did a color palette of neon pink (and shades of pink), black and white. The invitation was fairly simple – but fun – a custom die cut shape of Hello Kitty’s face, mailed in a black envelope with her “bow” repeated as an envelope liner. All the girls loved receiving the actual Hello Kitty “face” – and used it as decoration on their school folders!
Hailey’s favorite thing in the world is popcorn. So, naturally, we decided to do a fun twist on a dessert bar – and we did a popcorn bar instead. We made a “hello hailey” banner to hang behind the bar, did fun signage, and labels for the flavors to sprinkle on the popcorn! We also got darling black and white striped mini popcorn buckets, I lined them with hot pink tissue, and added a bow on the front. We got 2 popcorn flavors as the “base”, 5 actual flavors to sprinkle on the popcorn, and then a few fun toppings. The popcorn bar was a big hit!
For sweets, we had a “make your own cookie” station – Hello Kitty faces, of course! We also commissioned Sweet and Saucy Shop to make the amazing and very tasty Hello Kitty cake pops (vanilla, strawberry and chocolate peanut butter).
Drinks were served in mini plastic “milk” bottles – complete with a polka dotted straw with Hello Kitty bow on top.
For games, we did Hello Kitty bingo, a fun scavenger hunt (spell out the word H E L L O, find the corresponding bucket with the prize + add it to your personalized pail), and a mini version of a “photo booth” (hanging frame with a few fun props).
The big hit of the party was the huge Hello Kitty jump house – that really looked like Hello Kitty’s house. The kids went nuts for this! All in all, it was a darling party – and I think we pulled off the theme pretty well. Happy Birthday to sweet Hailey Grace!
