Train Themed Birthday- Party Feature

Hi Everyone!  I am so excited to share this train themed birthday party by my sweet friend, Kristin of Paige Simple.  Kristin just relaunched her store and website with new branding and a new mission.  It is so beautiful, fresh and simple- just like her parties. Make sure you hop over to Paige Simple, learn about Kristin’s story and look around.  I know you will love her stuff.

I love how Kristin’s train party feels very modern while still being very traditional.  The simple layout, crisp colors and clean graphics are the key to this party.  Kristin always has so many fun details.  She really put everything into each of her parties.

My sweet little boy turned 3 on June 25th and we celebrated with a train themed birthday party. He is absolutely obsessed with trains so the theme was perfect! Most of the train parties that I’ve seen use a red and blue color scheme so I wanted to change it up a little without being too different. Green and navy seemed like the perfect color combination based on where we were hosting the party.

The party was held at our house and set up similar to the way a train station would be set up. There was a waiting area that contained food and drinks, a ticket station, loading platform, baggage claim, and even a train tunnel!  I designed the backdrop to perfectly coordinate with all of the party printables and had it custom printed by Janette Design onto a fabric decal.

My absolute favorite part of the dessert table was the FABULOUS cake by Chicakdee Hill Cakes. I sent them a copy of the invitation and told them the birthday boy would love a 3-D train and they did the rest. Isn’t it amazing?

The adorable muslin bags were custom printed for me by The Purple Pug. I filled them with sidewalk chalk that I purchased from Michaels and handed them out as the children were leaving.

The ‘Baggage Claim’ area was set up inside of our Pottery Barn Kids Cameron Wall Storage System. Clever, right?!? I was a little too excited when I found gable boxes at Uline that fit perfectly inside the cubbies. The labels are available in the shop and the large ‘Baggage Claim’ sign was printed by Janette Design.

Adorable, right?  There are lots more details on Paige Simple including some great murals, a train tunnel and simple activities.  You can also find Paige Simple on Facebook. The beautiful photography was by  taken by Mon Petit Studio.

Thanks os much for sharing Kristin.  Can’t wait to see Chase’s 4th birthday.

This train theme is very cute! If I had a boy, I would definitely have this as a party theme. My 3 year old daughter just turned 3 and we had a dress up themed party. So much fun.
