Hi everyone- I wanted to share a few easy last-minute, DIY’s from yesterday’s Monster Milk Bar.  In case you missed it, check it out here.  These both just take a few minutes so you still have plenty of time before Halloween to make them.

Aren’t these little guys cute?  These Monster Milk containers are an easy way to a tiny bit of healthy to you Halloween celebrations.  The kids will love filling up on these little monsters!

To make, you need

  • individual milk containers
  • crepe paper- about 18 inches per container
  • twine
  •  googly eyes
  • black paper for the mouth
  • tacky glue
  • monster milk

Cut a half circle for the mouth (if you have a circle punch, punch a circle and cut in half.) Glue on eyes and mouth and let set.  Once dry, wrap the crepe paper around the top of the container.  You want it to sit under the rim of the container.  Tie with twine to secure.  using scissors, cut slits into crepe paper about a quarter-inch apart and 2/3 of the way down.  Gently pull apart some of the layers to fill out the hair.  All done

TIP: You can leave the lids on but it will be easier to open if you take off the security pull before wrapping.

Eye Ball Garland

I found eyeball coasters by Wilton at Michael’s and thought it would be the perfect fit for our Monster Milk Bar.  I had originally intended to make my own eyeball but when I find something that saves me time, I’m all for it. Simply punch two holes in the top of each coasters and weave twine in and out of each one.  The garland can be as long or as short as you need. Simple:)
