Day of The Dead- Party Feature

diadelosmuertos Happy Halloween!  It’s the perfect day to share this darling Day of the Dead Party by Elena of World Wide Mom.  The Day of The Dead is becoming quite a popular theme for fall and you can see why.  The bright colors, beautiful patterns and sweet desserts are irresistible.  I love all the different designs possibilites you can create on the skull.  It’s the perfect juxtaposition of beauty and scary.

Elena writes:

Day of the Deads skeletons and skulls are very popular this year and honestly I couldn’t help to create some decorations and a dessert table with this inspirations.
I wanted to recreate a sort of “gypsy style”, very simple and with few items.
I was lucky enough to work again with Stella Scordo who draw some skulls for me and I’ve prepared some printables and the dessert table.

LIttle colored meringues were created by IlTocco Kitchen and filled the coffin boxes. With the help of the edible images, created for me by Sweet Nothings Images, I was able to prepare some coordinated sugar cookies too!

I had the most perfect Candy Kabobs for this table made by Sweets from Heaven and they were soooo yummy!

I  purchased the fabrics at Jo Ann and I created some paper flowers to get along with the theme. Mexican paper decorations “Papel Picado” were also purchased at a local store here in San Francisco on Mission!
