Hope you all had a chance to see the dessert table and Crab Shack (part 1) for our Preppy Plaid Surf Party. Today I am sharing a few other element from this surf party.
Guest were invited to dive into shred, curls, long boards, and shells after reading Luke’s “surf report.” I love this keepsake of Luke’s favorite thing as at this age and it makes a great backdrop for the serving table. Drinks included orange Gatorade and surfs up dude drink bottles for the boys while adults sipped a signature cocktail, The Smashed Surfer.”
The boys’ dinners were prepackages in takeout boxes with the tag “Dive In” on top. The boxes were set on crab placemats poolside. Centerpiece were simple jars of gold fish with party symbols cut on my Cricut.
Luke’s smash cake this year was an ombre blue cake with his name on the top. I used my Cricut to cut this out also. The smash cake is a tradition we started and is something my kids look forward to each year. I am so proud of how this turned out since I am so far from being a baker.
Party favors included sea foam cotton candy and a beach ball with coordinating tags thanking guest for the swell time. Needless to say, everyone had a ball!
The complete printable package including invitations, banners, tags, labels and more are available in my Etsy shop.

Wow Jenny, can you please come over and arrange all 3 of my kids parties fo’ life? You’ll get to live in England? (as though that’s a wonderful option…. NOT!)
Seriously girl, you’ve got talent. I love everything about this. Do you use a cutting machine like the silhouette for the cut out parts? I love the little food boxes on the table saying ‘dive in’. So much fun. I’m 33 and I want to be the star of your next party!

A move sounds tempting actually!

Some serious planning went into this party – I take my hat off to you! In fact i love pretty much everything about it. I’m curious though – how do you limit the number of guests without offending relatives??? (seriously – email me on this one!) My sons would love to do something like this. It might have to wait another year though, as I have one party down and 2 already half planned.
Thanks, Sheree
