Friday Feature- Holiday Trifle Bar

Happy Holidays!  I am so excited to share this awesome Holiday Trifle Dessert Table styled by Shannon of Bottle Pop Party Company .  Shannon styled this party for a girlfriend get together (don’t you wish you were a friend!)  I think the concept and color are stunning and unique.    I always love having something for my guest to assemble themselves whether it be a nacho, ice cream sundaes or even a waffle bar.  It guarantees everyone gets what they want.

My favorite element has to be the deer heads in the both gold glitter for the printables and hot pink for the backdrop of the table. I also love how Bottle Pop Party Company used so many masculine elements in a feminine way (plaid table cloth but in festive colors, deer head but all glittered).

After inviting a handful of girlfriends over, I decided I wanted to do a really cute dessert bar. But what to do? I wanted something new and different. Then I thought of trifle! I decided on a Trifle Bar ( basically any layered dessert) because you can mix so many different types of sweets and everyone will find something they like. And if not, well then I don’t want to be friends with them.  I started with soft layers like chocolate pudding, whipped cream, raspberry filling and marshmallow cream. You could do all sorts of flavors of pudding or fruit pie fillings.
Then you add another layer: pound cake cubes, graham cracker crumbs, toasted coconut and cinnamon. You could also do Oreo cookie crumbles or Nilla Wafers…the possibilities here are endless! You can also add tons of fruit! Blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, kiwi, anything you can think of…
Finally, the crunchy toppings: nuts, chips, candies, sprinkles, whatever floats your boat. Layer, repeat and eat!
