Friday Feature- Boy’s First Birthday

I must say that I am truly in love with this party. Melanie from All The Frills based out of Auckland, New Zealand  styles the most breath taking parties. They are always sophisticated, refined and beautiful.  She also always has some great DIY crafting ideas that she incorporates into each party. This party was styled for one year old Caden with stunning photographs from Sheera Gordon Photography.

Melanie writes:

Without a doubt 1st birthdays are one of my favourite events to style, I love the challenge of turning cool kids fun into a cohesive and stylish event. A few weeks ago I had a pleasure of styling Caden’s 1st Birthday from start to finish, working with Cindy and Alton (Mummy and Daddy) on the design direction was a pleasure, once we established the direction we wanted to go the design just seemed to flow with ease.

I think fun in the sun is actually an understatement! I loved all the party games we organised for the kids they had a ball, endless bubbles, donut bobbing, photo booth with a huge selection of props and the biggest handmade pinata you have ever seen……made by ME (very proud)!

When a little down time was needed we had super stylish picnic rugs for a little chill out area, big thanks to my friend Amanda for making these. So much crafting was involved in this party- Bubble wands, bubbles, photo booth backdrop, pinata, geometric garland, chalkboard detail, painted paper bags, garlands, signs and painted wooden forks.

Have a great weekend!

XO,

Jenny
