Amazing Party Ideas for Girls

Happy Monday Friends- Even though we’re melting her in So Cal, one of my favorite thing about summer is having friends over.  I thought I would ask some of my frends to stop by Bloom and share their amazing ideas.  Today I am so happy to have Stef form Girl. Inspired sharing with you…

Hi there! It’s Stef, from Girl. Inspired. I am super excited to be here today to share some snippets from some of my favorite parties. Throwing parties for my little girls has become such a passion of mine and I hope to inspire other creative folks to stretch their party creativity. I know you guys LOVE all of Jenny’s AMAZING parties, so I thought you might enjoy some of these party ideas.

Just last week, my youngest celebrated her fourth birthday with a Princess and the Popstar themed party. We had a disco ball pinata, photo booth props, and plenty of princess accessories.

I loved the fun theme, but secretly I really enjoyed making new princess crowns for the party guests. I’ll have an updated tutorial soon over at Girl. Inspired., but the basics can be found in my DIY Lace Crowns post.

That original set of crowns we did for my other daughter when she turned four (I guess four is a popular age to want a “princess party,” huh?) Some of my all-time favorite party decorations were created for that party. You can click around on the pictures above for those links if you like.

Mermaid Party

Of course, little girls looooove to dream of mermaids. This mermaid party from last year was a big success with all the little sea lovers. My favorite part was the huge pile of sand we had delivered – still getting good use out of it this summer!!

Besides the sand pile, this party was all about the dessert table including homemade taffy, an ombre ocean cake, and candy seashells. The kids had a great time in the water and painting DIY seashells. So much fun!!

Sometimes (rarely), the girls just want simple as was the case with the gymnastics birthday party we had earlier this year. It was a nice treat to put together just a few special decorations and take them to the local gymnastics center for an easy party!

Whatever kind of party we do, the most important thing is making the birthday child feel extra special. It makes me so happy to see their little faces light up with excitement and know that all the handmade touches were crafted just for them! I hope you enjoyed my little tour down birthday party memory lane. Stop by Girl. Inspired. and say hi! Thanks so much for having me over here at party central, Jenny!!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE IT STEF! Make sure to pop over and tell her how much you enjoyed her post! Thanks so much for blooming with us.

XO,

Jenny
